Berlin British School (BBS) is a warm and caring community of local and international families from all over the world. While we prepare our students to strive for academic success, we pride ourselves on our holistic education and have a genuine determination to know and care for everyone.
A central part of a student鈥檚 education at the Berlin British School is to nurture the development of character through an engaging curriculum and supportive pastoral care programme.
Our School is an inclusive school and offers an excellent education to students aged 2-18. In Grades 9 and 10, the school offers a number of 麻花视频 General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) courses, the German MSA (Mittlerer Schulabschluss) and in Grades 11 and 12, the 麻花视频 Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). The IB DP is often described as the gold standard of international education. This allows our school the ability to adopt the best, internationally acclaimed enquiry-based learning process, whilst also fulfilling the requirements for Ersatzschulstatus (official recognition in the local school system).
Following an education at the Berlin British School, our students have been accepted into some of the top universities in Germany, the UK, the USA and the rest of the world.

How would you rate Berlin British School gGmbH (BBS)?
The school management is very good at giving a good image of the school, but unfortunately, this does not often reflect reality. From our experience, this is a school where it is worth going if you do not speak German and you stay in Berlin for just a couple of years. Or if you want your child to have grades that they will not get in other schools. It was a good school in the past but it is gradually deteriorating. The good teachers and highly capable students are gradually all leaving. The teachers have no preparation to deal with students who are highly capable. The focus is mainly on money, but if you are thinking of getting into a school for wealthy people this is not the case, since the fees depend on income and it can be very low and in some cases also free. Some parents do donations to the PTA which is the not-for-profit association that receives the money which is then given to the school.

This school is very important to me, I learned my English here. It's amazing how good this school is at teaching languages, I was here for 3 years and learnt to speak perfect English and quite fluent German. I miss you, Berlin British School.

While in Germany, I spent six to eight years in bbs. I remember that the teachers were all good. They were kind and well cared for. I had a lot of activities and had a lot more fun than my Korean school life. It would have been nice if I could have been there longer, but I'm sorry that it's been less than a few years.
