About Winpenny School (Winpenny)

Winpenny School Mexico City aims to be a leading British 麻花视频 School using contemporary approaches to teaching and learning, and state-of-the-art technology to develop well-rounded, confident individuals with high academic standards.

Winpenny first opened its doors in September 1992. Its original location was a four-bedroomed house in Calle de Pedregal in Lomas de Virreyes. Miss Marian, originally from Yorkshire, England arrived in Mexico in 1969. She has nearly 50 years鈥� experience teaching and leading schools in Mexico City and co-founding Winpenny School.

Marian Winpenny and her eldest son Melvyn T. Winpenny founded the school with just five children, one 5 year-old, two 4 year-olds and two 3 year-olds. Early on that same year, parents asked Miss Marian to open a group for 2 year-olds. Due to Miss Marian鈥檚 reputation as an excellent English educator, the school quickly expanded. By the end of the first year, the school had already grown to accommodate 27 children and three more teachers. Every year after, the school continued to grow and new grades were added.
