About UWC Thailand
UWC Thailand aims to be a transformational IB school with a learning community rooted in compassionate action. We view the understanding of our minds, our bodies, and our emotions as a key life skill; fostering the development of our students by tending to both intrapersonal awareness and interpersonal sensitivity in order to create a positive and international school culture. Our aim is to cultivate genuine happiness. In an increasingly interdependent world, we treat others and the planet with respect, kindness and consideration, helping even in the smallest of ways.
Our international community includes over 400 students representing more than 60 nationalities, with no dominant culture. We are ideally located; situated in peaceful northern Phuket at the foothills of a beautiful national park, away from the island鈥檚 city centres, and only a 10-minute drive from Phuket鈥檚 麻花视频 Airport.
We welcome applications from students around the world throughout the school year. We encourage those interested in applying to first visit our school in order to ensure that each family feels the school is a good fit. We review each applicant on a case-by-case basis to determine whether or not UWC Thailand is able to help each student we enrol maximise their greatest human potential.

As an expat family, we can be quite transient, but one of the main reasons we love being here in Phuket is not only the wonderful lifestyle it provides, but also the amazing school we have access to. The teachers and staff are warm, supportive and caring, the curriculum focuses on more than just academics, it encompasses a worldly view, a truly diverse feel, mindfulness and social emotional learning. Everyday, my children come back happy! Happy fulfilled kids = happy life. My daughter's transition from primary school to MYP secondary school has been a breeze and she is really enjoying it! UWC Thailand is really is a draw card for us, and it keeps us living here in Phuket. The school community/families are friendly and supportive. As they say... "It takes a village...", the UWC Thailand village is really really special.

We are so happy to have found this school which is just perfect for our kids, tucked away on the beautiful island of Phuket. We moved here from Hong Kong, looking for a calmer pace of life away from the hyper-competitive and unhealthy pressures of the big city. After looking at all the schools on the island, we settled on UWC Thailand because we liked the holistic style of education, focused not just on academics but also on building strength of character, social skills, emotional intelligence 鈥 all the skills our kids will need to thrive in this fast-changing world. I was a bit skeptical of the mindfulness at first 鈥 my kids were 2 and 4 years old, how mindful could they be? 鈥 but over the past 6 years I鈥檝e been blown away by the enormous impact the mindfulness and social emotional learning curriculum has had on my children鈥檚 development. They are kind and empathetic, to themselves and to others, they are resilient in the face of adversity, and they are building the tools they will need to manage the stress and pressure that will come later in school and in real life. Academically, they are thriving, and thinking so much more deeply and creatively than I did at their age. Looking forward to graduation and beyond (it鈥檚 many years away, but I鈥檓 Asian, I can鈥檛 help it!), I can see that they will have a vast array of options, whether they set their sights on a Top 10 university in the US or Europe, a liberal arts college, a specialist school in design or politics, or some other path I haven鈥檛 foreseen. My friends whose kids have recently graduated say the college counselling is wonderful; the team are so dedicated to helping each student find the best fit for them. I couldn鈥檛 be happier with the choice we made. This school is helping me raise my kids to be amazing human beings!

Top class education. We moved from Northern Thailand and my two teenager are doing amazingly both academically and with other activities such as kayaking, beach cleaning, wakeboarding and piano. The school organizes career counselling and both will have the opportunity to apply to Ivy League universities -if that is their choice-. I recently learned that UWC graduates are able to receive financial aid and scholarships to study in the USA (Davis Scholarships)! What is most important is that they wake up by themselves and like going to school every morning!

Still the most favorite school my kids have attended so far. What makes the school so special is not only world class education and facilities that stand out but also the community around it that takes pride in helping it to striver higher year after year. I highly recommend UWCT to anyone moving into the region or to those who look for a boarding school for the older students.
