I believe it is the best place to get a British Education in the Middle East . The teachers are passionate whether they are halfway around the world on their holidays they are always happy to reply to question i've emailed them. I have been a student for 6 years and I don't believe i would of had the great standard of education anywhere even in the UK with the amount of extra curricular activities provided it has made me a more practical person to allow me to go into the real world. The BSAK community is very welcoming and it makes me feel safe . I Am proud to say I Am a student at BSAK.

I attended BSAK from FS1 to year 11, and my opinions on the school have changed drastically throughout that time. When I was in junior school things were much better, I felt comfortable and safe. Of course there were still problems, such as when I was dropped a set in Arabic for going to a flute lesson, and not being in the correct set in maths as there 'was not enough space' (that space was being taken up by the teachers kids who later ended up in set 4 when they moved to secondary school.). But I felt safe and supported, my teachers were great and whilst the headmaster at the time wasn't the most approachable, he got the job done. When I moved to senior school things got better, then much much worse. In year 11 alone the number of problems I have had should be concerning to any reader. Before I begin with these problems, I would just like to point out that I was not a troublemaker or a bad student, I was top set for everything, did my maths GCSE early, and was a form representative. Now, one of the worst things that occurred during my time in year 11 was during my GCSE's. I was in my physics GCSE, desperately trying to focus, but all I could hear was the singing and the drums from the auditorium and gymnasium (right next to where our exams were taken) as they had been rented out to church groups. I feel like it negatively impacted my grade, as I found it very difficult to focus. Another memory from year 11, was not wanting to walk into the bathrooms at any time during the day because they were filled with girls vaping and smoking. It was excessive. The teachers were well aware of the problem, yet no one was reprimanded for walking around school with their juuls in their front pocket or for vaping in class and blowing the smoke into their backpack. One of the most chilling things to learn is that a boy, only a few years older than me, died whilst attending BSAK. I didn't know him personally, but I have friends who did, who wanted to honor him. The first few years after his death we were given a day to wear orange, to remember him, yet since the new headmaster took over students have been told to remove even the smallest orange bracelet on that day, and some were even given sanctions, which I believe is disrespectful and awful. There are many, many more stories I could tell, like the chemistry teacher who threw stuff at one of the boys in my class and racially discriminated (I being one of those on the wrong end of the stick), or the fear we held whilst around locals, because they could never get in trouble and our residence in the country was at stake, but that would be way too long of a review. At this point, you're probably wondering how this awful school got a two-star rating, and that's because of some of the amazing teachers I have encountered. Teachers such as Mrs. Owles, Ms. Cooper, Mr. Wells, Mrs. Gannon, and others have such a deep love for teaching and care about the students well being so much, and they truly helped me get through my time in secondary school.

Terrible! Don't send your kids here. My son joined for 3 months and we removed him immediately. He was bribed into vaping at 12 years old and he said whenever he walks in to the bathroom there are kids as young as 11 smoking and taking shots of alcohol. He said he was forced into taking a hit from a "Juul" or he would be called a baby by everyone.
