How would you rate Stamford American School Hong Kong?
As a former student, I found the school food to be quite unappetizing. The bathrooms are often in decent condition, but there are times when you walk in and find a high schooler playing Brawl Stars on their phone. Meanwhile, some middle schoolers are filming TikTok videos in the bathroom, while others are playing video games in the classrooms. Some students often behave in a disrespectful manner, making it difficult to maintain a positive atmosphere. While many teachers are kind, some can be quite harsh, saying things like, "You're not good enough." From my experience, I was punished for something I didn鈥檛 do, and my friend faced the same situation. This kind of treatment can make it even harder for students to pay attention in class. As an anonymous voice, I hope to shed light on these issues.
The rules there are overly strict, with some not even making sense. The curriculum is also way too easy and everything about
I think Stamford is a terrible school firstly the food is very poor, the kids randomly make out in the hallways the teachers are also very mean and I do not recommend it.
This year was honestly trash, I went to a really good school in the past, I was fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. But now I鈥檓 failing Chinese and I don鈥檛 even know how to speak Cantonese anymore. I鈥檓 almost about to fail English and I knew how to write correctly and now my grammar is trash. Thank you for listening and the school lunch is terrible and never drink the water my stomach hurts after drinking it.
It is terrible if you want to suffer this is the right place to go to everyone is mean and if you want to get bullied come to this school you can not say anything in the interview to get into this school it is absolutely trash and I do not recommend you coming here and the teachers are terrible and the way they teach kids is terrible never come to this school. I came to this school for a very long time but left cuz the academics were so bad and I learnt nothing and the teachers are horrible
SAS is approachable, transparent and accommodating. My children enjoy going to school and enjoy learning at SAS.
Very caring community and great place to work as co-workers are dedicated to innovating and students.
As a previous employee from the school, I understand that the school is very small. The facilities and space is not big enough for the pupils to use or play. The teachers there are also not very experienced and only hire teachers that are expats to look 'international'. Still quite a new school and the IB curriculum is not very good, wouldn't recommend.
5 stars!? I can say those who gave 5 stars excellent comment were hired by the school. For families who are looking for 麻花视频 Schools in Hong Kong, we would not recommend Stamford American 麻花视频 School Hong Kong. This school is only for profit but not for education. The quality of teachers are poor. The admissions office withholds real important information and seduces the families to enroll their student. Soon after we found out the truth the school refused to refund the fee. We were forced to stay for 1 year before we changed to another school. The Head of school never responds to our complaints. The only strength of this school is that your children can be easily admitted to this school as long as you can pay their school fees. The school doesn't care much about the quality of child during the admission assessment.
The teachers are very good. They do put effort to teach the students. The school facilities are all new. In fact, there will be a brand new school building ready by the end of 2020. My son really likes this school and so do I as a parent.

Well...I won't generalise but will tell you actual incidents of what happened in this school. 1. One time in class, all the students got really bored and some even fell asleep. A student ("Student A") there, probably feeling bored too, secretly opened his electronic device and played games. Even though the teacher went by him and saw him playing, he/she still (pretended as if he/she) didn't care and continued to teach. But when another classmate ("Student B") opened his device and was about to play games, the teacher's eye arbitrarily became like an eye of a hawk. As fast as...or even faster than the speed of light, he/she forced "Student B" to get up and intimidated him in front of the whole class. Now my question is: why does the teacher not care when "Student A" plays but immediately notices when "Student B" plays? Weird logic. 2. There's this student who's absolutely nuts. He/she hits people randomly, always swears, and basically is a burden to everyone. He/she even went to the detention 4 -- FOUR times! But he/she's still not out of the school. Why? I could tell you more but the better thing to do is to see the Google Review of the SAIS Singapore which basically can be applied to this campus. But yea, I don't know, if all this doesn't matter to you then go ahead, ignore what I just said and trust those counterfeit this-school-is-awesome reviews.
