About Singapore American School (SAS)
Singapore American School (SAS) is known for an unmistakable culture of excellence, extraordinary care, and possibilities. We nurture in our students a passion for and commitment to deep intellectual and personal exploration. SAS students grow up in a community where every student learns at high levels, every student is known and advocated for, and every student personalizes their learning. Education in the past has been good at making kids fit the mold: the IB mold, the AP mold, the IGCSE mold. The mold often says what is possible and what is not.
Singapore American School, however, is giving students possibilities like never before with personalized learning, new course offerings, and passion pathways. Students at SAS find their true selves rather than letting a system define who they can become and how far they can go. Possibilities don鈥檛 make school easier, but they make it different and provide personal awakenings for kids who are looking for more. The direction Singapore American School is taking reflects what made us one of the most desirable international schools in the first place.

Horrible system of admissions. They expect kid with highest grades to join this school. I don't recommend this school to anyone. Admissions staff very unprofessional and look at only highest grades. Horrible! SAS kids are all only average grade scorers. They expect outsiders with highest 95 % and above to join this school. Very disappointed and consider it a waste of time to apply here. My kid gets the best grades and is intellectual. We are happy with his grades, he gets. Thank God, I didn't make my kid join here as I don't want my kid to be after such grade centric school system. Very discouraging for kids and parents. Fee is to too exorbitant too. I don't recommend kids to join this school.
This school has taught my son nothing. Every day he comes back begging me to not send him the next day. Choose not to come here if possible!

I disagree with the bad reviews about the space. I am currently a student at SAS and I really enjoy the school and the workings. I am quite interested into what we learn everyday and the teachers are quite helpful. If you took SAS from a students perspective, maybe the review would change. The open spaces are also able to close up, they only rarely do combined classes. SAS has a healthy learning environment that all students enjoy. The teachers and faculty are ever so kind. Thank you.

Gotta say after going to this school for 9 years before moving to dubai, probably one of the best schools in the world. Teachers are friendly and always helpful, students are nice and there are lots of groups to join so don't worry about that. Tution fees are a bit high but it's worth it when you finally graduate.

Im a student, And if Im being honest, Its the best place ON EARTH!! Im a 6th grader, and this is my first year as a middle schooler. The teachers are kind, and supportive, and they try so hard. I know people say its expensive, but the outcome is really worth the price! SAS doesn't just educate you, they teach you values, like respect, responsibility, honesty, fairness, and compassion. It's my 2nd home, and I love it. My friends are amazing, and so are all the students there. But, if based on this review you're sending your child to SAS, Please, don't expect it to be heaven. There IS bullying, but MOST the students are amazing. Im not saying ALL the students are good. Just a heads up. Anyway, I would recommend this school to everyone!!

I am currently enrolled at Singapore American School as a Freshmen(9th Grade) in High School and have been at the school for about 8 years now. So, I have a pretty good view of what going to the school is like. Overall SAS offers a world class education with amazing teachers who give you help when you need it. Plus, the school has amazing facilities that will blow your mind. As well as a massive campus. Therefore there is a lot to like about this school. However, there is also a little bit to dislike, for example the school food. Now, I am not saying that the school food is bad but its not good nor bad. Since, they have a wide variety of foods some of which are great such as the Chinese Food, and some are bad such as the Sushi. This is because sometimes in the sushi there is an overload of sour cream and there is minimal meat in it. Plus, the taste of the sushi isn't great. However, the caterers here are doing an amazing job with their food and service. The sushi is just one thing that isn't great along with a couple of other things. But, besides the food Singapore American School is an amazing school overall.
