About Sharjah English School (SES)
Sharjah English School (SES) has, for more than four decades, has been the school of choice for families seeking an excellent and challenging UK education for their children. Our school site near University City is readily accessible to students from Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Mirdiff and most of Dubai.
As a not-for-profit school, Sharjah English School is dedicated to providing an outstanding education comparable to the best schools in the Gulf region and internationally. Our educational ethos will always remain focused on quality teaching and learning, rather than any commercial imperative; this, we claim, has a profound impact on both our students and teachers.
As the smallest not-for-profit school in the UAE, SES can claim to combine strong educational values with an intimate, community atmosphere.
Since the establishment of the secondary section of Sharjah English School in 2005, we have catered for students aged 3 to 19, with classes now running from Foundation through to A-level, following a broad, challenging and balanced curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales.

From the security personell, Support staff, admin staff, teachers and the PSG (parent support group) will leave you with a positive impression and a strong sense of community which is hard to find in the for profit schools of the glitzy neighbouring emirates. My child loves going to school and has been able to settle in so quickly. The school is friendly yet firm with discipline, has a good focus on studies. The conscientious approach to expose children to a wide variety of books and music and sport is very much appreciated. The facility is in need of some updates but the school is aware and is already working on it. The grounds are beautiful and children have plenty of space to learn and play. We absolutely love the school and appreciate all the effort the staff puts in to deliver a remarkably high quality of education.
Excellent Primary! High turnover of teaching staff and lack of pastoral care and overall vision at high school make SES the least impressive.

This is the best school in UAE whose focus is mainly on child鈥檚 academic development. My 3 kids are studying in this school and the teachers are very well experienced. I am observing amazing changes in my children academic development.

My daughter enjoys Sharjah English School. I can see her grow as an individual with a lovely attitude. This school builds character and is not just about bookish knowledge. They offer a wide range of extra curricular activities. Fees are high on par or more than some private school in the UK. The teachers are well educated and care for the students.

One of the best schools.in the Sharjah Emirate. Extremely big with great buildings, pool, gymnasium, football field and playgrounds. Kids love their school and the personel is usually kind and helpful. Teachers are very good and in some good way stricts.

I have only good words to say about Sharjah English School. My son has been here for nearly one year now and the change is amazing. Mrs O鈥橞rien in F2G, I genuinely feel she loves the kids and puts a lot of efforts into her work. Best school for primary with great resources and generally friendly and welcoming. My son has improved dramatically in under one year. Definitely recommend!

The fees just go up every year, and it鈥檚 already an expensive school. I really feel the school is not as good as it used to be and the staff turnover is getting higher every year. It鈥檚 such a shame cos it used to be a very good school and although it鈥檚 still better than most, it鈥檚 losing its high delivery standard of teaching.
