NORTHLANDS School is a coeducational, bilingual IB World School that, through caring and innovative teaching, educates young people to the full extent of their individual potential. How would you rate Northlands School?
If the school acknowledges their problems they could make significant changes. However, they keep on hiding them. Biggest problem is lack of teachers and lack of good teachers. If they used their money to pay more competitive salaries instead of building new parking lots and updating KG building the community would be better served.
As a former student I only have good memories of my time at the institution.
Insufficient education. High school students don鈥檛 have textbooks for subjects such as biology, physics, chemistry鈥�.. So they end up using google as their source of knowledge. Unbelievable! Incompetent leaders who have not gained the respect from their students nor the community as a whole.
Poor academics. Huge problem with recruiting and keeping their staff (my kid had no teacher for 9 months now in a subject., and at least 2 other subjects the teachers left with no subs). The school has never provided answers to our problems/questions/concerns. Always empty words. Nordelta site is very convenient if you live in Nordelta, but that鈥檚 it. DO NOT SEND your kids to this school. They can鈥檛 even control the bullying. I have a teaching background and I can certainly tell you that the school is very poor. I currently have 3 kids at the school.
My kid had 3 teachers in 6 months. They have a huge problem recruiting and keeping their teachers. Academically is very poor as well. It has an excellent reputation but once you are in you learn how bad it really is. Do not recommend at all!
