About La Garenne 麻花视频 School
La Garenne School has been delivering exceptional education to thousands of children since 1947. This IB accredited World School prides itself on its personal approach and individualised education for students from over 30 countries.
La Garenne welcomes up to 165 students aged from 5 to 18 years. Our facilities and dedicated staff enable us to deliver programme options typically found at much larger institutions.
The school鈥檚 philosophy is based on providing individual attention to each and every student, encouraging a passion for learning, developing international mindedness and ensuring the rounded development of all the young people in our care academically, socially and emotionally.
Older students are based at the state-or-the-art Le Roc campus, where graduates study for the 麻花视频 Baccalaureate. The setting is designed to prepare students for life beyond La Garenne, and to set their sights on prestigious higher education establishments across the world. Our holistic approach means that no students are 鈥渓eft behind鈥� and we have a full programme of support for those with special needs.
In the Primary School (ages 5-10), children follow the 麻花视频 Primary Curriculum, which prepares them well for the transition to our Secondary School, where they study the 麻花视频 Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
Younger students board in cosy, comfortable accommodation in the heart of the original school estate where their house parents take care of their every need.
La Garenne prides itself on its long and rich history as a bilingual place of learning. While the main language for academic subjects is English, we believe that language learning is vitally important and students are encouraged to master French through ongoing tuition and special projects.
La Garenne is owned and run by the second generation of the Swiss M茅an family and retains its character as an intimate, friendly and caring community in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

My name is Grisha, I am 10 years old and I come from Russia. I came here six years ago and right now I am in Year 5 and my teacher is Jenny. I have made a lot of friends at La Garenne and I have a best friend. My favourite lessons are Maths, IPC and Sport and my favourite sports are football and basketball. I live in the La Garenne main building because I鈥檓 a Mini, but the Juniors live nearby in the new Beau Site building. La Garenne building is the original school building, with beautifully renovated boarding facilities and dining room. I like the expeditions because we get to go to different places and it鈥檚 really fun and challenging. I also like the after-school clubs because you can choose what do you want to do. In IPC we are learning about the Ancient Greeks and Romans and it is very interesting. In the winter we learn how to ski and at the end of the season we have a ski race. At the weekends we have activities after lunch and it is really fun. My favourites are playing football and going to the cinema.
My name is Angelo and I joined La Garenne in the past. It is an awesome experience and I enjoy it a lot. The most interesting things that I have done at La Garenne were in Maths with my teacher Yahn. We learned about tessellation charts of all kinds and percentages. In French class I have improved and I am happy that now I know how to speak another language. In Sports we do many fun activities such as football, basketball, running and parkour. I like IPC and hope that in the future it will be as interesting as it is now. To be good at many things you need to practice a lot and hard work is key. I take private piano and math lessons and I am getting better and better over time. I am enjoying my time academically and in boarding too. This year Beau-Site boarding house was built for Juniors to live in and study. It is a beautiful building with three floors and spectacular views, comfortable social spaces and a fitness room. I have many friends here at la Garenne and I really would like to stay.
Hello. My name is Samira, I am 8 years old and I'm from Nigeria. I live in London and sometimes I go to Nigeria. My favourite colours are pink and purple, and my favourite continent is Africa. It's really good here at La Garenne and I have made a lot of friends from different countries. My best friends are from China and Iran. We live in the same room and we really enjoy the time spent together. My teacher in Year 4 is Samantha. I really like working with her - she is really kind. My favourite subjects are Maths, Sports and Music. I like being a Mini but I'm looking forward to being a Junior. I have never skied before but I am really excited that I will have ski lessons with my La Garenne friends in Villars-Sur-Ollon, which is well known for winter sports.

I went to school there and it was an awesome place. Loads of fun activities and the staff are really nice you get to meet so many different people and make a whole lot of friends. It's very diverse.

My daughter Nataly was in La Garenne School twice for summer Courses. It was great! It was so interesting English Language Program and Activities. All staff and teachers are very proffesional . We can reccomend this school for summer and for academick year.

I was a student in LG and I moved to other school but one thing that I couldn鈥檛 find in other school was 鈥渓ove鈥� People in LG was really peaceful than others and also Stuffs were really kind.I think instead of anything we need personality to communicate with people from other country. And this school was really good to remember what I needed.
