What a horrible experience not only for me .. but more horrible and is very frustrating for my 7 years old daughter.. I took a decision to move my school from acceptable one to Kings Barsha to improve her academically.. My daughter is a Talented Pianist/ Super star in Drama and an amazing talented actress participated in 6 shows so far.. very clever and communicate well She just needed improvement academically which is not that bad but as any mother I wanted the best for my daughter Unfortunately, the school was very harsh and not making any sense when they contacted me saying that they have available seats but they will not be able to accommodate my daughter because she didn鈥檛 pass the minimum criteria ( math test + little paragraph) they mentioned that the writing is not what the school is expecting from someone at her age group. Not to mention that I visited the school after the shocking call. Just wanted to understand more how the school making the selection and explain to them that my daughter was very excited about the school and was googling the school everyday thinking that she will be there in the next academic year The school didn鈥檛 even care about all of that and they stood by their decision and didn鈥檛 accept a reassessment as she we wont be allowed to apply again before 6 months according to their system. I was also advised by them to go and apply for smaller schools where they can accept someone like my daughter and they would be able to work with her to improve her academically Imagine that we are talking about the well being of 7 years old girl has to face that she is not accepted because the school didn鈥檛 believe that she fits their academic criteria I had to give the news to my daughter because I wanted to explain why we are applying for other schools and I can feel her frustration however, she is getting ready for her next assessment tomorrow My question is to the principal and the Board committee of kings Barsha school People are different and everyone of us has a quality can add value to the community What is the message that your staff are carrying to the parents her when you just accepting top academic students with specific criteria Where is the social responsibility that you are adding to your community if you are refusing to take kids with an amazing qualities but they need little support academically?
