About Island Waldorf School (IWS)
Started in September 2017, Island Waldorf School was the first Waldorf school on Hong Kong Island. Rooted in an understanding of children's development, Waldorf education nurtures its students' physical, emotional, and intellectual growth with a holistic and arts-integrated curriculum. We are part of the fastest growing independent educational movement in the world.
By 2021/22, we are made up of 7 classes: Kindergarten (2.5 to 6 years old), Class 1 (6 to 7), Class 2 (7 to 8), Class 3 (8 to 9), Class 4 (9 to 10), Class 5 (10 to 11), and Class 6 (11 to 12). We will grow organically by adding one more class over each of the following years until grade 8.
Our campuses are conveniently located near the Kennedy Town and HKU MTR stations.
We are affiliated with and supported by Highgate House School, the oldest and largest Waldorf kindergarten in Hong Kong with over 20 years of history.
