About Freie Schule Anne-Sophie Berlin
Freie Schule Anne-Sophie Berlin is not a traditional school. Our central focus is not so much on imparting knowledge as on providing children with comprehensive individual support and a modern, learning-friendly environment. We help them to acquire social and academic skills both individually and in groups, in a relaxed but goal-oriented learning situation.
This aim set by the founder of the school, Bettina W眉rth, characterizes the work of both learning partners and learning coaches. One of the most important premises is that each learning partner is supported according to his/her individual needs. This means that every learning partner behaves like a learning entrepreneur, which means that he or she realizes and accepts his or her own responsibility.
Our joint conviction that everyone is able to reach this goal is the basis for this behaviour.

How would you rate Freie Schule Anne-Sophie Berlin?
Our experience: Applied for a January start for our son, 7 years old. After having sent the applications, waited more than a month to get a response. Finally, emailing back, they notified us about a Zoom interview next day, and sent the links. The day of the interview, my son excitedly waited -his first official interview in life- . 45 minutes he waited, but no one came. We called them back, and they told us the internet is down, so they will arrange another interview soon. Well, we waited for another two weeks, no one contacting us. We sent an email, no response. We called, and this time they said the person responsible for arranging the schedules was off, but this week she is back, so they will get back to us. You guessed right, they never did. Basically choose the reason for one star: Utter lack of basic courtesy, manners and communication.
Small classes, integrates very well technology and education from first grade and on, international students as well as locals.

Great school; fully bilingual (from grade 1), my daughter was only speaking English and in less than 6 months she became very good in German and same for lots of her friends who were the opposite (only spoke German and were able to speak English in less than a year)... Also the way of learning (individual learning, where they are not forcing everyone to do the same and just study &memorize the materials) and the learning houses are amazing...

Independent learning is not for everyone. Children have to work at it and be guided in what needs doing. Even the first grade children can be trained in independent learning, if it is for them. When children find it difficult to concentrate in an open environment it is unfair to them to put them in a place where their progression will happen at a slower pace.

Ganz tolle Schule. Weniger Stress fpr die Kids und sehr gut organisiert. Kann ich jedem empfehlen.
