About Deutsche Schule Stockholm (DSS)
With more than 400 years of successful history, Deutsche Schule Stockholm (DSS) offers excellent education from kindergarten to German international high school diploma and Swedish diploma. We design the school in such a way that students feel secure and that they learn to take on responsibility for themselves and others to the extent appropriate to their age.聽We treat each other politely and considerately.聽We teach children and young people clear structures and clear rules in a school that leads from kindergarten to high school.
For successful learning, we specifically promote activities in the fields of music, theater, art and movement for all ages.聽Creativity and good education are not mutually exclusive.聽That's why Deutsche Schule Stockholm is always encouraged to recognize and promote talent.

How would you rate Deutsche Schule Stockholm (DSS)?
Extremely conservative, teaching basically always from the front of the class, no modern methods (flipped classroom i.e.), no focus on well-being of kids, kids are expected to function, if a kid needs support (either because it is handicapped in a way or especially bright or sth else not fitting the norm like ADHS) the kid doesn鈥檛 get it or the parents have to fight for it and only then the school reluctantly might agree to some support. School picks out Swedish or German laws/rules - whatever they like to follow, nobody of the parents knows, what the legal basis is they could actually use for anything and neither Swedish nor German governments/school bodies seem to take responsibility for this very bad state of the school. The word 鈥瀒nclusion鈥 is total foreign to the staff and the f枚rening, who is running the school and actually responsible for school politics there. Even staff like the Kurator does not know on which legal basis they are 鈥瀢orking鈥 (Kurator doesn鈥檛 help anybody at all).
