Amazing school with such responsive staff, we could not ask for more. We are thrilled with our choice of school. Located in a beautiful ancient building, CSI is a small school with a huge heart. They have outstanding teachers who provide my children with a warm, caring and challenging environment with every encouragement needed for their success. A wonderful choice for us.
There are nice teachers in the school but some of them are good friends or relatives to the headteacher, therefore, you can't do nothing that offend them because you are in the wrong and they always will have the right. The headteacher doesn't listening the pupil's opinion or the parents when you give any constructive feedback or make a complaint about something in the school because she doesn't want to compromise and understand nothing. It is her way or nothing but she doesn't remember the parents paid a high monthly fee for send the children in this school and they are expecting quality. Many parents removed the children from this school due the headteacher behaviour. She treats the parents like a pupil that is why they get fed up. It is a shame because see many pupils withdrawn from this school it is disappointed but it isn't point to go in a school that you have to pay for your education and you can't have a voice and deal with excessive restrictions rules. Some teachers doesn't have qualification in Education but they are working there because they have some relationship with the headteacher and she will defend them even if they do something wrong in the headteacher eyes they are right to do what they want. If they lost because many pupils leave this school!!
The injuries to students should be noted and steps taken to prevent them recurring. The following list of injuries are all preventable with forethought. In my 30+ year career in 8 large schools I have not known such negligence. 1. The netball net dislodged the teeth of a student in 2022 it should be replaced with a safer one. The barbed wire injury on a day trip should be recorded and mitigated by teachers previewing day trip sites and warning students of the dangers. This is a normal procedure for a well run school. 3. When the Science lab has a noxious smell it should not be used by students. The fumes abated after the non Science teacher used the room despite warnings from the Science teacher, me, unfortunately the acid fumes due to acid waste that the authorities had not dealt with were absorbed by the students' alveoli.
Excellent school with great teachers. Amazing parents community. Friendly students and Superb facilities.
Excellent School and our son had a fantastic few years. Both academically and socially. Just excellent.
I have visited this school to put my children this academic year. Everyone was so welcome, it felt we were already part of the family. Did not think twice, Tavira is our first option.
What a positive and rounded schooling experience. Our son spent 5 years at this school and had a wonderful and character building year every year. Even during the pandemic the school was way ahead of others as regards the online classes and remote support with technology. The teaching staff and principal were always easy to communicate with and speak with. The school seemed to get the right balance between a decent academic approach and giving kids a rounded education with Music, Sport and Psychology for example. It鈥檚 a smaller school than some of the bigger and colder ones in the algarve for sure. In our experience it was a much more pleasant and welcoming academic and social environment for our sons needs. The best way to make up your mind picking a school in the algarve is to go and meet the people. Ms Alves, her staff, the beautiful buildings and the town of Tavira are incredible and you should give CSI a visit to include on the short list of your algarve school choice.
Colegio Santiago Internacional is a small school that has a very close and friendly community. Very small size classes and where differentiation and inclusion are the main teaching strategy.

Some strangely negative reviews here. All I can say is my two children love the school! They started in September and despite COVID challenges have settled in really well. The location is great and the school is in a beautiful old building. Teachers are friendly and conscientious. Just hope that one day they can enjoy the school properly and safely without masks
