Birker酶d Gymnasium, HF, IB & Boarding School聽is a Danish national school, situated a mere 25-minute train ride away from the centre of Copenhagen. The school accommodates approximately 1100 students in two national programs and the IB Diploma Programme.
With approximately 320聽Pre-IB and IB students we are one of the biggest IB World Schools in Denmark. Birker酶d Gymnasium聽has been an IB World School for more than 25聽years, offering the upper- secondary IB Diploma Programme for 16 to 19-year-old Danish and foreign students.聽The school is run on democratic principles with the emphasis on active student participation, influence and responsibility.
We want a school where obligations and rights go hand in hand, a school where argumentation and dialogue prevail over authority.

Best school of my entire life, is amazing and everyone is so open and inviting, amazing teachers too.
Birker酶d IB is a fantastic School with dedicated and very competent teachers and brilliant coordinator staff. We have had 3 of our children completing Pre-IB and IB there and they have all had incredible years of learning in both school subjects and social skills. There are usually students from all apprx 50 different countries attending IB in Birker酶d and they make friends for life there. Big applause to the teachers, staff and management at Birker酶d Gymnasium.
School tolerates bullying of the international students. Student counsellor didn鈥檛 know her students at all and would constantly suggest yoga鈥�
Huge amount of students, impossible to have quality with huge quantity. But if that is not important for you, and you are focused on money, the school is for free.
