How would you rate The Olive Tree School?
Choosing The Olive tree school was our best decision when moving to Spain. We were looking for a small school that would help our child adapt to learning in a new system in a new language and had high educational standards. We found all this at The Olive tree school. An excellent team of teachers and administration, supportive community of parents, friendly children and high quality of education.
A great small school where every child is a valued member of the vibrant community.
Seeing the child going happy to school every morning is the best parents can ask for. Our daughter holds some of her dearest memories at Olive Tree School. The teachers are dedicated and caring, very professional. Small classes allow personalised attention to students. Thank you, Olive Tree staff.
I came to The Olive Tree School with a very low English vocabulary. With only 2 years of study there, I was able to greatly improve my conversation and reading comprehension. Not only did I improve my academic performance, but I also became more confident, had more friends and the teachers were very supportive. The Olive Tree School makes the classes interesting and easy, always with visual and practical projects.
I stayed at the school for around four years and had a wonderful time there. The professors were kind and provided excellent instruction, and the school as a whole offered a variety of activities (school trips, extra curricular activities, school plays etc...) There wasn't聽a huge amounts聽of homework, and the ambiance was always incredibly friendly and caring.
A school which offers a very British-style education and an ideal choice for kids that flourish in a more caring environement.
My kids spent 6 fantastic years here. Wonderful, dedicated teachers who are really focused on the children. Small class sizes meant both my kids got loads of attention if and when they needed help and were pushed on when they needed that too. There is a real community here, teachers and admin know all the families and the children really well. There is not a school at all like this out here. They've taught my children how think critically, how to question everything and how to be curious about the world around them. I highly recommend this school for anyone looking for the best rounded education that is truly child centred.
Our son is now in his 3rd year at Olive Tree. Lovely school and lovely teachers. And also a very good vibe between parents! Most families live and stay in the area for a long time.
Warm and caring, lovely environment
The olive tree is a very nice school.
My child goes to Olive Tree and enjoys it very much, the people in the school are very kind and generous. I highly recommend this school to others moving to Barcelona.
My daughter has just begun her third year at this wonderful school and is blossoming into a delightful young woman. After trying quite a few schools in the area we settled on The Olive Tree and we couldn't be happier! The community is welcoming, the eduction is tailored to every childs needs and the surroundings are lovely. Big thank you to The Olive Tree School!
Brilliant and creative learning I highly recommend it. The children and staff are lovely and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The teaching is adapted to each child which leads to spot on learning and great exam results, (although it is not exam heavy).
I love this school it is amazing!
Would not recommend The Olive Tree particularly as a secondary school. They actively seek out weaknesses in children then recommend counselling, in particular psychotherapy, to the parents expense. Many parents have removed their children because of this. Recommend checking the qualifications, particularly the head teacher. Check with NABSS (National Association of British Schools in Spain)
Beware: The Olive Tree School uses misleading advertising to promote their school. This school is not a member of NABSS, however, it is the second time that we have had to write to NABSS to ask if they are as The Olive Tree School had the NABSS logo on their page. NABSS got back to us with this: 鈥淚 can confirm that Olive Tree School is not a member of NABSS, and we will contact them right away, of course.

The Olive Tree School is a member of NABSS, which can be verified with NABSS. We do not seek to mislead anyone and welcome interested parents to come to one of our Open Days to find out what we're really like.Notice how a week ago there have come so many good reviews? orchestrated reviews pushed by the school to counteract the mounting number of parents, teachers, and children that have been damaged in their relationship with this school: unethical treatment of children, unfair selective procedures, misleading advertising, the most intimidating action: false reporting by the school to other schools to prevent these leaving students attending those other British Schools . These are the stories I am collecting as a reporter. There will always be some that will, in that school, be happy; but the politics and actions of the administrators are scaring healthy innocent children in the process. This needs to stop
Unfair admissions process: unethical. Our daughter granted a place in year 10, 鈥攖he place then given to another family鈥. In an attempt to show that some responsibility was taken for the unfair dishonoured granting of a place in year 10: she was put in a level above her age group, (year 11). Only be told: 2 weeks after to leave. And they kept our money, (not our main concern): Never were we told of the slightest possibility that once in the school she would be asked to leave, No child should go through this. Beware of the clause (The right to withdraw place) in the registration form, it is at their discretion. This is illegal in the Spanish education system. Note: our daughter is a high achiever -no learning issues-, just not a year ahead in maths.
Small school with a very poor facilities . Academic bellow the rest of British schools in Barcelona Area . Not good school if you need a good grade to access to another high school or university. Not recommended.

We love the Olive Tree School! It was the answer to our dreams after leaving a school where our daughter's dyslexia was neither identified nor supported. During her five years at the OTS she received caring, individual attention and thrived in a rich and supportive environment of scholarship, creativity (music and drama) and sports. The small class size is a huge plus, and the school feels like one big family for both the kids and the parents. Thank you Olive Tree School!

The Olive Tree truly believes in fostering happy, curious, engaged and aware students who are prepared to take on the challenges and changes of the 21st century. Their committed and inspiring teachers are dedicated to helping students achieve their absolute best and for this reason, I know my children have benefitted tremendously from this school. Our son and daughter have attended since 2014 and are now well into their secondary years, with our daughter having successfully completed GCSE鈥檚 this past June. I am grateful for the devoted staff and for a school who genuinely knows and cares about each and every one of their students and would not hesitate to recommend this school.

The Olive Tree School provides a small and safe community for children to thrive. Our kids enjoyed the many outdoor activities and creative hands-on projects the primary program provided for them. The warm, dedicated, and inspiring teachers always made an effort to connect these practical learning activities with the core curriculum 鈥 with excellent results. During their time at the Olive Tree, our children grew both in confidence and capabilities. We only wish we had a school like this where we are now!

A small school with a big vision. There is so much patience, attention and caring provided by the teachers for the children here. Primary years in particular shine. With a small student to teacher ratio and plenty of personal attention. The staff make sure to get to know the child they are working with and play up their strengths rather than trying to make all children fit into the same mold. A special place.

Unethical admission process, it is wrong to assure a place to a child, then withdraw it based on their own agenda. They keep a very small year 11 class, 7 at the moment, to get that 100% GSCE pass rate they sell. But poor academics and values. They are not what they sell.
