This school has a very poor reputation and status in Paris. The level of Maths in LPCR is exceptionally poor, my teacher used many different books but never taught us. My class teacher then left, and I got a new one, and then she left and I got a replacement teacher. My french teacher left at the end of the year and she told us she was going because it was so badly organised. Four other teachers left at the end of the year. I really liked some of the English teachers and the sports day was fun too. The boulangerie beside the school is nice too. The expectations are very low and I think the school is losing money quickly because of the poor management and incompetent head teacher (she doesn't even speak English), it is not selective at all and some children speak neither English nor French. There is huge difference between the higher and lower level students in the class and very little differentiation in the class. When I left and went to my new school, I needed extra private lessons in Math because I was so behind.
L'茅cole pr茅sente 茅galement de s茅rieux dysfonctionnements 脿 tous les niveaux.
Our experience at the primary school has been quite disappointing. To start, the head doesn鈥檛 speak any English, which has been a big problem for us since communication is crucial and we were expecting a bilingual environment. There doesn鈥檛 seem to be any fixed curriculum, and I鈥檓 always left wondering what my children are learning. Teachers seem to change constantly, which is really unsettling. Just when we get used to one teacher, they're gone and someone new comes in. It feels like there鈥檚 no real management keeping things together, and it's all over the place. Communication from the school is virtually non-existent. We rarely get updates or any kind of coherent information about what鈥檚 happening. Academically, I鈥檓 worried that my kids are falling behind....
Unfortunately this was a terrible choice for our two daughters. We were recommended this school by someone who has since left the school because of the poor management. The head teacher has very poor personnel skills and many teachers and assistants leave suddenly. We spoke to one of the teachers who left who we really liked and discovered there was bullying going on all the time. As the teachers change so often the standard is poor and there is no consistency between years. Moreover the vision of the school is positive discipline but we didn鈥檛 find this to be true at all. Children with poor behavior were removed from the class to another class. One child brought knives into the classroom because she didn鈥檛 like another child and she was never disciplined. Bullying in another class was allowed to continue. In one year group (the year above my child) two thirds of the students left in one year. I imagine the school will have to shut down if it continues this way!

Our 3 kids loved and learned so much at this school. An exceptional place that is not just ruled by the head but also by the heart. Big thank you to everyone there. If you have the opportunity to send your little one there don't hesitate!

Our daughter has been attended l鈥櫭ヽole Le Petit Cours du Rocher for last three years and she loved it! The principle languages of instruction are French (50%) and English (50%), with the morning conducted in French and the afternoon in English by experienced native French & English speaking teachers (precisely 8:30pm to 12:20 pm in French and from 12:20pm to 4:30pm in English, including lunch time). I emphasize this, as it is a truly bilingual school. We would like to sincerely thanks all the teachers and Mme Caux for this wonderful experience, which enabled our daughter to grow up in a such special environment full of practical and creative ideas, setting the basis for a bilingual education. Thank you so much to all PCR team!! We highly recommend this school.

Le Petit Cours du Rocher is a great bilingual school (English/French) for very young and young children. My grand son has been there for the past 3 years and it has been a dream and a blessing for him. I would recommend it very highly.

My son has just finished his year in very small section and I recommend this school 100%! A school on a human scale and therefore a family atmosphere, teachers very invested in their work and taking to heart the well-being of each child individually, very attentive to parents as well. Beautiful values 鈥嬧媡aught on a daily basis, such as benevolence, sharing, mutual aid, respect for class rules, and of course a very good bilingual school. Thanks to Catarina, Sofia, Joanny, Sylvie, Lauryn and Paula for this wonderful year 2023!
