While the school has some excellent teachers, its overall approach fosters a culture of favoritism and bigotry. The 鈥渕aths bands鈥 system, allegedly based on learning pace, is deeply flawed. Recent CAT results reveal that some Band B students have outperform peers in Band A, undermining the validity of these groupings. The favoritism is evident in how opportunities are distributed. Band A students are prioritised for external competitions, while others are routinely overlooked. This bias extends beyond academics鈥攕tudents outside the top 5% in sports or academics are largely invisible. The school鈥檚 emphasis on performance metrics over individual development has created an elitist and exclusionary culture, stifling the growth of many capable students.
Great school. Lots of sports facilities. Lovely people (students and teachers) . Great community. Wasn鈥檛 big on the arts but from what I heard it was great. Sports is incredible there. One of the best schools for football, swimming, netball, basketball, cricket, rugby and athletics. Specifically Phuket 7s and FOBISIA is great fun
鈥淪eeing is Believing鈥. We had a tour of Dulwich College by our grandson recently. The school speaks for itself, excellent facilities throughout in all aspects of education. Wonderful as grandparents to have this opportunity to see is to believe, happy children coming out of school with friendly teachers. These are all good signs that Dulwich College made a good impression of a super school. Many thanks.
Many schools talk the talk but at Dulwich College (Singapore) we actually walk the walk. It all starts with the teacher/student relationship. Dulwich prides itself on recruiting the very best teachers from around the world who help open the minds of our students, encourage them to believe in themselves and are helping to shape their futures by inspiring them to turn talent and curiosity into achievement.
We have been at Dulwich for 5 years and our children are very happy. We moved from London into year 8 & year 4. Now year 8 & IB (yr12) my kids feel like they have an all rounded education, not just high academics but the arts, language and sport. They feel they are achieving without the pressure many schools place on their students. Theres a fantastic sense of community, you are made to feel very welcomed and part of the Dulwich family. The open door policy is very important for families, you always feel supported. The cafe for parents is a place where you can go everyday to meet new people and the coffee is also fabulous! Our first choice for school in Singapore.
Dulwich is wonderful school. My children are into their 7th year there and couldn't be happier. The sense of community is very strong even in these difficult times. I couldn't wish for a better school for my kids.
Amazing school fully invested in developing each and every student to reach their potential.
We have been very happy at Dulwich and the parent community is really engaged and supportive and the school has exceeded all our expectations
Amazing staff and facilities, holistic approach to education and whilst they are academically selective and their results are impressive, they look to enrich students beyond the classroom.
