How would you rate 5 Steps Academy?
This facility is nothing but a glorified tuition center that causes more harm than good by taking in students that they are unable to handle.
Perfect school! Highly recommended
It's a very fun place to be in
- Kids have Lesson Only on iPads. It is hard to learn english / maths only via screen - Very bad facility. Kids do not have space to have a break outdoor or to play
Our son Avery is 7yo but already able to solve Grade 7 Math problems. We have been really impressed with our children鈥檚 experience at 5 Steps Academy. As newcomers to Singapore, our kids felt immediately welcomed by the warm staff and friendly school environment. The teachers were quickly able to accurately assess our sons鈥 unique interests, strengths and areas for development across a wide range of subjects. Additionally, we were very pleased with how the school imparted a sense of academic motivation that we frankly had not previously witnessed in any of the learning environments the children had been in before. Altogether, it鈥檚 been a very rewarding experience for our family.
As a parent of an ex student I highly recommend 5 steps. It did a world of good for my son and he really flourished in that environment.
The staff were all helpful and friendly, all year long. My son had an amazing relationship with all the staff, and students, not just those of his grade. He always wanted it to be a school day, because he loves learning.
A tuition centre operating under the guise of an international school. None of their teachers is NIE trained or properly qualified.
Awesome school, very well educated Principal and Teachers. They all are very cooperative. I'm so glad I chose this school
Very good 麻花视频 school, all the teachers are very cooperative . The school Principal is highly qualified with PHD in mathematics and Masters in Child psychology. Student and teacher ratio is just 7-9 kids which is actually very good. All students get very good attention from the teachers. School hours are also very good
10 out of 10 points but that was 4 years ago. Now they are much bigger, hope they saved their precious family environment.
Great school! Students can get individualized attention and work at their own pace. Teachers and mentors give lots of support! Courses are interactive and fun!
Amazing experience so far! Strong academics, teachers are kind, fair and experienced.
This school has shown me what schools can be like. They take time to get to know each family and find ways to support parents and students in unique ways. The school's CCA clubs provide my kids with a chance to explore sports, music, art, chess and robotics for free, all included in the simple $1800 per month (prorated). I am especially happy that they have begun a dual-language (English and Mandarin) program to encourage bilingualism in our community. I am very happy with my experience here.
I love the school. It is diverse as it has lots of extra curricular activities for my daughter. All of the staff are caring and compassionate.
This school is perfect for my son. He has improved dramatically not only in his studies but also in his overall motivation. He likes to do his classwork and found good friends. Airconditioned play area and various extra-curricular activities. Teachers are nice, supportive and open to discuss his progress and educational needs.
My kids really enjoy the teaching style in small groups. The school focus on academics. However, my girls' favourite classes are Arts and Ceramics, haha!
I wasted my time here! i was fooled by them, go out and other schools so much better, if looking for academics put your child in local school, for fun and decent education a regular international school. Plus lack of cleaners (toilets reek, place dusty and dirty) and many inexperienced teachers,
My son currently attends 5 Steps Academy. After he attended two "exclusive" international schools with fees more than $35k, who put in absolutely zero efforts to provide him with additional support he needed, we found 5 Steps. We are extremely happy. Not only are their fees are $1800/month, but he has progressed with leaps and bounds. The class sizes are small and the education is intense with without all the fluff. Highly recommended for parents looking for alternative education options.
the whole thing sounds good on paper but it really isn't what it seems. the whole individual approach just is not effective. stock videos for ads and the kampong Bahru campus looks more like a tuition center. toilets are rarely clean and it reeks. no curriculum 3 teachers and 1 doesn't know how to teach.
Recently came in and spoke to other parents about whether to let my child in, this is what I gathered from parents already removing their child from 5 steps: 5 star reviews are fake and forced to be made by employees. No curriculum, staff structure, nor international education. No staff training, nor individual autonomy. Staff turnover is frequent, no performance appraisals, and heavy dislike of CEO. Website is riddled full of fake videos and reviews (reverse search them!)

I called to school to make and enquiry and after many attempts on both the mobile number and the landline number, it was answered by a helper. Unfortunately, she was unable to assist with any queries at all and I had to repeat my reasons for calling over and over again, which bless her, she could not understand. Finally, she got it, and asked me to speak to a Director - who said that the team comes in only at 10am and that she (the Director) was unable to answer any of my queries regarding the curriculum or the structure of the school. It is appalling that an institution in the field of education is not open at 9.45am, and that nobody can answer simple queries on curriculum. It has been 3 days and nobody called back after I left my mobile number. Maybe just as well!
